The Chamber

Working for business in Burnley

The Burnley & District Chamber of Trade’s key objectives are to promote, improve and represent the business interests of Burnley, Padiahm and the surrounding district and, when appropriate, act as an informed voice for local businesses. We co-ordinate with other agencies to make sure we are involved in any major issues which might affect the town.

Burnley Chamber was established in 1916 and has consistently spoken out on behalf of local businesses. Our Membership reflects the wide range of businesses in the town and includes High Street names as well as numerous specialist retailers and service providers.

NEWS..........NEWS..........NEWS..........NEWS.........

With loads of new residential developments underway in the town centre, new shops, eateries and specialist shops and services setting up in both our towns things are looking really good and now really is the time for both independent traders and indeed all businesses.

The new Primark will be a key driver for continued high performance in Burnley and with the new Burnley Town Centre complete - how good does it all look?

A progressive centre with big ideas for the future.

UPDATE:

Both town centres continue to enjoy relatively high levels of investment  with applications for improvements or upgrades at a particularly encouraging level.

Allied with action being taken against errant property owners and things are looking better all round.

Local shopping areas such as Coal Clough Lane and Lyndhurst Street, Rosehill etc. continue to prosper, even in these challenging times, perhaps illustrating that great local service still has a vital role to play in retail and service provision to customers.
